Game Design

I design board games and tabletop roleplaying games, with a focus on systems that model economics, incentives, and tradeoffs. This includes prototyping, playtesting, rules writing, and visual layout.

Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA)

I practice Historical European Martial Arts, focusing on historically documented fencing and combat systems drawn from medieval and early modern sources. Training emphasizes technical interpretation of historical manuals, timing and measure, and sparring.

Writing & Research

I enjoy long-form writing and research-driven projects, particularly in science fiction, historical fiction, and speculative settings that explore institutional and societal dynamics.

Data & Tools

I like building small tools and web applications to support games, events, and collaborative projects, often using Python and lightweight web frameworks.

Outdoors

When I’m not at a desk, I enjoy hiking and exploring trails.
